As one of our first Community Managers, you will be at the heart of our community-focussed approach, playing a vital role in the local expansion of Bookmark through the inner London boroughs. You will have responsibility for building and supporting a network of Bookmark volunteers and fostering great relationships with schools in your local area. Championing Bookmark in your community, you will also play an important role in shaping the future requirements of our locally based teams

Briefly introduce yourself. Hi I’m Jess, Community Manager at Bookmark. I love musicals and have seen Matilda 3 times!
What is it like to work at Bookmark? It is a lively, fun and engaging workplace. There is a real sense of community within the team.
What is your favourite thing about your role? The diversity of being able to work with and support both schools and volunteers within the community.
What does a day typically look like for you, in your role? My key roles involve onboarding schools and volunteers and providing them with on-going support. I am often out and about in the community meeting with schools and/or volunteers as well as attending events such as volunteer fairs.
