Experiencing stories: unlocking storyworld play with The Open University

event promotional graphic with navy background and two headshots

This introductory session will profile the power of telling and re-telling stories and the many ways in which young children make sense of their own and others’ lives through stories.

In collaboration with The Open University experts, Sam Hulston and Professor Teresa Cremin (CBE), the session will outline storyworld play and an approach to storytelling and story acting, inviting practitioners to learn more about these modes of storytelling in two more in-depth sessions in the autumn.

This session is ideal for practitioners who want to learn more about the benefits of storytelling and how to integrate it into their everyday practice. All Bookmark partner schools are welcome.
