Yearly Support to Transform Your School’s Reading Culture

Every child deserves the chance to fall in love with reading.

But with increasing pressure on school budgets, it can be difficult to access the books, resources and professional development needed to create a strong reading culture.

Our School Network Programme provides eligible primary schools with ongoing annual literacy support to inspire reading for pleasure, engage families and create more opportunities for children to discover the joy of reading. Schools receive up to £1,000 worth of free literacy resources each year, alongside access to training, networking opportunities and practical tools that support reading across the whole school.

Check your school’s eligibility below and apply by 30 September 2026.

What schools are saying

Our programme helps schools create lasting reading cultures by providing practical support that can be used throughout the school year.

  • I have learned so much more about how to promote reading for pleasure. Access to CPD has been great. This means that I have been able to develop initiatives across the school and develop our whole-school approach.

  • The pupils have really benefitted from access to a range of diverse and new books. Due to budgets, we aren't always able to buy current and up-to-date books, so it has been really great to be able to enjoy new and exciting books... It has definitely promoted the love of reading.
