School Onboarding Instructions for Technology
STEP 1: COMPLETE A SYSTEM CHECK TO ENSURE COMPATIBILITY
This test evaluates the following: browser, connectivity, video playback, sound, camera, and microphone. If any component fails, the step will be highlighted in red with links to relevant articles and videos to help you resolve the issue.
Please ensure you perform this check under the following conditions:
- You are using a device the children will be using during their online reading sessions
- You are connected to the network the children use
STEP 2: SCREENSHOT RESULTS
Each stage of the test will display a green or red indicator. At the conclusion of the test, all results will be summarized. Please capture a screenshot of this summary and send it to the service desk at servicedesk@bookmarkreading.org.

STEP 3: BOOK TECH MEETING VIA CALENDLY
A Calendly meeting invite is included in the initial introductory email. Use this to schedule a meeting with a Bookmark service desk agent to complete the tech onboarding process.
STEP 4: MEET THE TECH TEAM AT BOOKMARK
Please attend a quick tech meeting in Teams, we will go over some questions and test Vedamo in a real room so we can be sure it will work when the pupils are signed up to reading programmes.
Ensure the following conditions during the meeting for an accurate test:
- Using advice that the children will be using during their online reading sessions
- Connecting to the school’s network onsite
